I woke up before the sun came up this morning to take Zeke for a little walk before the morning program.
I did a little experimenting and split breakfast into two parts this morning. I was hoping it would help me be less hungry throughout the day without having two larger meals before 10am.
The first part of my breakfast was an Oikos honey Greek yogurt topped with chia seeds, oats and ground flax.
I had the second part of my breakfast after the morning program. I had a green smoothie by blending a cup of Bolthouse Green Goodness smoothie, half banana, three cups of frozen baby spinach and ice.
It may have been good for me and packed full of nutrients, but it didn't taste too great! Too much spinach that made it taste very earthy. Ick!
Before heading off to the barn, I had a small cup of Mini Wheats as a morning snack. Yum!
I packed a small lunch to eat while I was at the barn. I had an apple, a container of baby carrots, and four pieces of imitation crab meat. I also had a small slice of chocolate cake at work because it was my coworker slash one of my best friend's birthdays today!
When I got home from the after school program, I made myself a veggie tortilla pizza. I used a large flax multigrain tortilla as the crust and topped it with tomato sauce, light mozzarella cheese, orange bell pepper, red onion and hot peppers. It was delicious and very colourful!
My workouts for the day included a 45 minute ride on my new favourite girl, Lucy.
I also did GPP Fitness's workout of the day called Arms & 400s. After my HIIT workout yesterday, I was in no mood for running today, so I substituted 400m sprints on the rowing machine instead. It worked out perfectly and gave me a great upper body workout!
I stayed up way past my bedtime last night, so I hope to get a full 8 hours of sleep tonight. I hope you all have a fantastic evening!
