I was so tired this morning that I ended up sleeping in a bit later than I should have. I was pressed for time, so I made myself a quick smoothie to take with me on the way to work. I blended up a whole frozen banana, a cup of unsweetened almond milk, a tablespoon of peanut butter, and two handfuls of frozen baby spinach.
I didn't have a chance to take pictures of lunch. I munched on it throughout the day as I worked at the barn between the before and after school program. I had an apple, a handful of gluten free tortilla chips with salsa, raw carrots and cucumber with dip, and crab. It wasn't anything fancy, but it did the trick!
Eye of the Storm
The weather was absolutely insane today! While we were in the after school program, we listened to the biggest storm ever rage on outside. There was a severe thunderstorm and tornado warning out all afternoon. By the time it was time for me to go home from work, it was absolutely beautiful outside.
The weather stayed beautiful for about an hour or two before it started up again. It continued to rain, thunder and lightning well into the evening. It was insane!
I wasn't feeling very well tonight. This time, it feels like I have a cold coming on. My throat hurts, my head hurts, I feel achey and gross all over. I didn't have much of an appetite for dinner, so I made myself a can of Campbell's Vegetable Soup. It did what I had hoped it would do...soothe my throat and make me feel a little better.
After dinner, Casey and I took Zeke out for a long walk and stopped by Costco on our way to pick up soft serve ice cream cones. This really helped make my throat feel better and cheered me up after a long, stressful day.
I rode for roughly 45 minutes earlier today, so I stuck to a shorter workout tonight. I did jessicasmithtv's Ballet Body Barre Workout. It was fantastic and left me feeling pretty sore!
I'm feeling pretty tired, so I think I need to get to bed early tonight. Hopefully I feel better in the morning and this doesn't turn into a full blown cold!
