I woke up feeling back to my normal self today! Boy was I glad I was able to sleep through the night without any nauseous episodes. I made myself a bowl of Just Right cereal with almond milk for breakfast and I was out the door with a busy day ahead of me!
I taught riding lessons in between the morning and after school program today, so I brought a lunch with me to the barn. I didn't have much of a chance to eat it, but I did manage to eat an apple, some gluten free tortilla chips, and some cucumber. I also just about drank my body weight in water due to the unbearable heat today!
When I got home from the after school program, Casey and I made some pizza. We used Namaste Food's gluten free pizza crust mix to create our own thin crust. I topped my half with orange bell peppers, red onion and hot banana peppers. Casey topped his half with red onions, ground beef and some extra cheddar cheese. It was fantastic and the dough was perfect! It was nice and crispy with loads of flavour. (Full review to come!)
After relaxing for a while and letting our dinner digest, Casey and I hit the gym. I got caught up on my GPP Workouts of the Day by doing yesterday's and today's workouts. I started off with the I.L.S. workout...
...followed by 15 minutes on the elliptical as I waited for some equipment to free up, and finally I finished up with the Squat Day workout.
I've got to tell you...absence definitely did make my love for the gym grow fonder! I had an extra spring in my step and was able to push out that extra rep at the end of each set. I felt like a firecracker moving around the gym. I felt incredibly strong. That being said, I know I will be feeling incredibly sore tomorrow!
