Try It Yourself Series: Sugar-Free (Day 3)

Breakfast

Another morning, another smoothie! You'd think it was going to be summer in the near future by the way I'm drinking smoothies lately. I made myself a berry protein shake again this morning by blending up 3/4 cup of frozen mixed field berries, 1/2 a scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder, and a cup of unsweetened almond milk. As always, this smoothie did not disappoint!

Lunch

Before I headed off to class, I had a chiropractor appointment and a meeting at school. I had a pretty busy morning and I kept my body fueled with raw veggies and dip, and a sugar free whole wheat berry muffin.

After my first class of the day, it was finally time for lunch! I brought chicken and rice soup along with a big conainer of sea salt kale chips.

Everything tasted great...that is until I dropped my empty kale chip container on the ground. Note to self (and others): glasslock containers DO break when they hit the floor! Oops!

Dinner

I munched on an apple and a light babybel cheese during my afternoon class before heading home for a late dinner. I was exhausted by the time I got home! I made myself a quick veggie pizza on whole wheat naan bread and gobbled it all up!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Once I was finished dinner, Casey told me he had bought me a Valentine's gift. Since we had already done our big Valentine's date this past weekend, I was surprised!

He bought me a new tea mug with infuser from David's Tea, along with three different teas to try out (forever nuts, red velvet and birthday cake)! He also picked up some heart-shaped tins for us to bake homemade Valentine's cupcakes together once my TIY Sugar-Free Series is over. I was really impressed that he remembered!

I got onto using my new tea infuser right away!

I made myself a red velvet tea latte using a teaspoon of honey for sweetness and skim milk foam. It was INCREDIBLE! Red velvet tea is officially my second favourite tea after birthday cake. Given the fact that I'm a die-hard cake lover, did you really expect anything else?

I have a little bit more school work to finish tonight before bed, then I'm looking forward to getting a solid night's sleep. I'm beat!

Have a lovely night!

Questions:
What is your favourite kind of tea?
Have you tried any usual tea flavours?
Do you prefer tea or coffee (or neither)?

I am completely amazed at your sugar free pledge! I am such a sugar fiend I don't know if I could do it, but you've inspired me to give it some thought!!

I'm definitely a tea girl, I am obsessed with the Zen tea from Tazo and the stomach ease tea from Yogi (oh the plight of an IBD haha) I was wondering what are your top three David's teas that I must taste?!?! I'm planning on ordering some as a Valentines Day Treat to myself and I'm curious which ones are worth it! :) Thanks!

I just tried the cocomint tea from Davids Tea last night, and it's a new favorite for sure!
