Super Bowl Snacks & David's Tea Lattes

Super Bowl Sunday

Sorry for the lack of blogging this weekend! I spent all of Sunday at my parents house, then went to a Super Bowl party with some friends! We had lots of delicious and moderately healthy munchies--GF organic blue corn tortilla chips, fat free veggie nacho layer dip, GF oatmeal cookies, chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks. Ok, well it was healthy for a Super Bowl party!

After the party, I prepared my meals for the day head. I would be going straight from a long day at work to an even longer evening of classes.

Breakfast

I woke up bright and early for work this morning. I made myself a protein smoothie for breakfast using five frozen strawberries, half a frozen banana, half a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and a cup of unsweetened almond milk.

Morning Snack

During my shift at work, I munched on two caramel rice cakes to keep the hunger away. I had just enough time to run over to David's Tea after work and pick up a tea latte before class. I ordered my new favourite hot beverage--birthday cake tea latte with soy milk and agave nectar. Yum!

Lunch

For lunch, I had two egg whites and some veggies with dip. I had prepared brussel sprouts and chicken sausage as well, but I wasn't hungry for it.

Dinner

I used the brussel sprouts from my lunch at dinner, along with some pulled pork on a bun from my wonderful mom! It tasted amazing...lightyears better than any pulled pork I could make!

Workout

I headed off to the gym after dinner to get in a good workout. I did a 20 minute HIIT workout on the elliptical, followed by some strength training focussed on biceps, triceps and shoulders. I finished up with 15 minutes of full body stretching and lef the gym feeling AMAZING!

Zeke and I went for a little walk outside before calling it a night.

Well, I'm absolutely exhausted so I think I'm going to call it quits super early tonight. There's nothing I'm craving more right now than curling up in a warm bed with my boys!

Goodnight everyone!
