Try It Yourself Series: Gluten Free (Day 5)
A Beautiful Morning
I woke up to two beautiful sights this morning! First, my very beautiful amyrillus that mom gave me for Christmas finally bloomed. Isn't it stunning?!
I couldn't help but stare at it for a little while and admire the pretty colours. Thanks mom!
I also woke up to some strange designs frozen onto the outside of my bedroom window!
Aren't they so neat?
Breakfast
I was a little rushed for time this morning, so I quickly took Zeke out for a walk, got ready, grabbed some breakfast and headed out the door. I had a quick chiropractic adjustment before heading off to school where I was finally able to eat some breakfast. I had two rice cakes topped with peanut butter and some tea. I also had some dried cranberries during class.
Lunch
After my first class, it was time for lunch! I had a bit of an assortment of foods because we're running a little low on groceries. I combined some leftover chili with leftover sausage slices to reheat for lunch. I also had an apple and some pickle slices which went unphotographed.
Dinner
I had such a long day of classes, that by the time I got home, I wasn't feeling a full meal. I had a bunch of snacks and called it a night. Not the best way to end the day, but it could have been a lot worse!
My TIY Experience
Physical - I'm still feeling fantastic and my stomach seems to be getting flatter by the day. Wahoo!
Mental - I'm starting to miss some wheat products...not so much cereal today, but pitas actually. I wanted a wrap for dinner tonight, but I didn't have any gluten-free tortilla shells. Does anyone know if they make them?
Difficulty - Things are getting a tiny bit more challenging, especially when I'm craving things I used to be able to eat. Not that it's really difficult, but just that I have to be more conscious about what I eat.
