Breakfast
I woke up needing protein in my tummy. I made myself a bowl of gluten free apple and cinnmon oatmeal for breakfast using 1/4 cup of egg whites and water. It turned out delicious as usual, although it's not the most photogenic meal.
I also had a small banana on the side.
Morning Snack
Breakfast was a super early one today and we had class all morning and into the afternoon, so I needed lots of snacks to get me through the day. I had a gluten free cornbread muffin in class, part of an apple that turned out to be pretty bitter, a light Babybel cheese, and a few bites of a salad that went unphotographed.
Lunch
When I finally got home around 3pm, I made myself some lunch. I steamed a bowl of baby brussel sprouts and mixed in the meat from a few buffalo chicken wings for protein. I also had a small class of chocolate almond milk on the side.
I'm really starting to love brussel sprout and meat bowls lately. Yum!
Dinner
I spent the early part of the evening teaching therapeutic horseback riding lessons and came home thirsty. I chugged a ton of water, but still needed a little something more. I made myself a smoothie using a small banana, half a cup of frozen blueberries, and a cup of unsweetened almond milk. It did the trick! Thirst quenched.
Evening Snack
Hardcore study sessions really make you work up an appetite! I studying for a few hours before making myself a yummy snack. I topped a caramel rice cake with peanut butter and gobbled it all up!
Workout
I didn't have a workout scheduled for today, but after so much time sitting at my desk studying, I really wanted to get my heartrate up even just for a little while. I ended up doing some ab work while watching television as my study break, then finished up with 15 minutes of stretching.
As much as it felt nice to get moving, I have to get back to studying. This material won't study itself!
