Surprise!
Remember that photo of hair dye from yesterday? Well...SURPRISE!
I was feeling a bit bored with my hair lately, so I decided to pick up a box of hair dye and dye it from home. It turned out to be a lot easier than I had expected, even as a first time at-home hair dyer! I love the colour and how much sunnier it makes me look. I hope you enjoy it as well!
Breakfast
I decided to go for a little something different for breakfast. I had some apple slices and light mozzarella cheese to start.
Next, I had a small citrus smoothie for breakfast by blending together half a frozen banana, one whole orange, and a splash of water.
Lunch
Since we had breakfast a little later in the morning but needed to head out to celebrate a friend's birthday, I had a small lunch. I threw two chicken strips onto a small whole wheat wrap and topped it with a tiny bit of mayonnaise and lettuce. I also grabbed an apple to munch on during our drive to the corn maze.
In no time, we were off to the corn maze!
Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch
What a fun way to celebrate a birthday! A small group of us met up at a big corn maze to hang out for the afternoon. We had a ton of fun! First, we started off by taking a stab at the gigantic corn maze.
I'm not sure exactly how long we were wandering around in the maze, but my guess would be that we were in there for a good 45 minutes. We all brought our rubber boots to keep our feet from getting too muddy after all the rain yesterday.
After the corn maze, we spent the rest of the afternoon having fun at all of the other activities on the farm! We raced little pedal carts...
...we spiralled our way through a hedge maze...
...and we enjoyed some tasty treats from the bakery! Casey and I both enjoyed their incredible homemade ice cream sandwiches. These sandwiches were gigantic and they were to die for!
It was a very fun day, but I think everyone was glad to rest their feet and enjoy a non-windy rest at home afterwards. Casey and I cooked up some herb and garlic talapia, sweet potato fries, and roasted asparagus for a late dinner.
Workout
I passed on the workout today, but did get in a bit of a workout on the farm. We spent a good four hours walking, running through mazes, or pedalling our way around a bumpy track. I love it when your daily activities incorporate enough exercise to make it feel like you got in a full workout!
Questions:
Have you ever been to a giant corn maze?
Do you enjoy mazes and puzzles?
Do you ever try to incorporate fitness into your daily life?
