Western Fair Fun

Breakfast

Good morning everyone! I didn't have a chance to post last night because I got home quite late. I ended up going to the Western Fair and then headed out for a night of dancing at Cowboys Ranch. But more about that later!

I did have class yesterday morning, so I made myself a very early breakfast. I toasted two pieces of cinnamon raisin bread and some vegan margarine.

Lunch

After a seemingly endless morning of class and one extremely sketchy bus ride home through downtown, I was grateful to finally be home. I didn't have a lot of time to make lunch before heading out to the Western Fair, so I made myself a quick buffalo chicken sandwich with lettuce and light mayonnaise.

I really need to start making all of my sandwiches open-faced because I ended up removing the top slice of bread anyway to perfect the bun-to-meat ratio. Note to self: always remove top bun to stop wasting bread!

I also had some watermelon from our "watermelon trough" as Casey likes to call it!

Afternoon Snack

No, I didn't eat the pigs as my afternoon snack! I had my snack while at the Western Fair, but first we had to see all of the adorable animals. Like piglets...

...and little lambs!

I even found my very own display station!

After touring around the fair and getting in our fill of cutness, I opted to have mini doughnuts as my treat. They were pretty tasty, but a little undercooked and extremely overloaded with sugar!

After the doughnuts, we went on a couple of rides before calling it quits at the fair. The Himalaya (pictured below) did a number on me. I'm usually fine with amusement park rides, but I guess it's been a while since I've been on one and I'm not used to the spinning. Even after I got home from the fair, my head was still spinning for a few hours afterward.

Dinner

I didn't have a proper dinner yesterday because I ended up trying to nap my queasiness away. I slept right through dinner, then had some soda crackers to get something in my stomach before I went out for the night. After that, I felt as good as new! We went out for a few drinks and some dancing to country music. It wasn't exactly my scene, but it was a good friend's birthday so I tried to put my biases aside. All in all, we had a pretty fun night!

Unfortunately, spending all of my day having fun yesterday means today will be filled with homework. I have two assignments to do and lots of homework before I have to go into work later this afternoon. Time to get to work!

Questions:
Do you like amusement rides?
Which type of rides are your favourite?
Have you ever felt dizzy or queasy from a ride?

I used to like rides but now they make me sick too! And as weird as it sounds, I never quite got on the mini-donut fan bus. Maybe it's because the ones I've had have also been undercooked and full of sugar too? I dont know!! Glad you were able to feel well enough to go out later :)
