Breakfast
I woke up with my schedule on the brain. I had quite a bit of accomplish today, despite it being Sunday. I woke up and took Zeke for a 20 minute walk straight away.
When I got back, I made myself a quick breakfast. I wanted to try out this new Special K Oats & Honey cereal, so I poured myself a big bowl.
I topped my Oats & Honey cereal with skim milk and a peanut butter drizzle. It was delicious! I give this cereal two thumbs up for being both delicious and reasonably healthy for a sweet breakfast cereal!
Right after breakfast, I headed out to see my beautiful Ginny bean! We spent some quality time together, which included a sweaty ride and a pampering session afterward. I rode for about 45 minutes before oiling Ginny's hooves, giving her a good brushing, and giving her a haircut. Don't worry, the picture below is an old one. Her mane is much nicer now!
Lunch
I was at the barn a little longer than I had expected, so lunch needed to be a quick one! I threw some beans in the microwave steamer and tossed an egg in the frying pan while I got ready for work.
I made myself a fried egg sandwich, leaving the egg overeasy so my sandwich could be a little runny.
I seasoned my green and yellow beans with a little bit of steak and chicken spice, which turned out to be delicious! I guess those spices aren't just for meat.
Dinner
I worked a five hour shift this afternoon that seemed to crawl by. I was very happy to be finished work at 6pm because I knew I'd be heaving over to a friend's house for a movie night. I made up a buffalo chicken burger in 20 minutes flat and tossed it on a multigrain flatbread.
Unfortunately, we ran out of lettuce yesterday, so this chicken burger was a little plain.
After dinner, I hurried over to the movie night. We watched This Means War with Chris Pine, Reece Witherspoon and Tom Hardy. It was a funny, lighthearted movie with some great action sequences and loads of eye candy. I thoroughly enjoyed it the second time around just as much as I enjoyed it the first time!
Workout
Just horseback riding today, friends! Being in school for 20+ hours, plus having a relatively insane work schedule this past week of over 25 hours has killed any chances of fitting in a good workout. Fortunately, I was able to see Ginny today and got in a good workout while I was at it!
And now it's time for me to get some shut eye. Tomorrow starts Week 2 of my program and I think it's going to get exponentially more intense as the days go on. Wish me luck!
Questions:
Who would you pick: Chris Pine or Tom Hardy? Or Reece Witherspoon?!
Do you ever fill your weekends with things to do instead of spending them relaxing and doing nothing?
