Breakfast
If everything seems a little beige-ish in my breakfast photos...that's because they actually were. And that's about how it all looked to me at 5:15am this morning. This is going to be a hard habit to get in to!
I made myself my last whole grain Eggo waffle for breakfast and paired it with the most delicious fruit smoothie I have ever tasted! I blended together one whole fresh orange, half of a frozen banana, and about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water. What I poured out of the blender was liquid sunshine, my friends! This was the best tasting breakfast drink I have ever created and it was so simply to make!
Morning Snack
Not only do I get to play with iPads in class, I also get free mini cupcakes! It was my professor's birthday today, so during our lecture on iPad apps for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, some staff brought us all yummy cupcakes. Talk about the best morning snack EVER!
Lunch
Ugh, back to that ugly beige. I snapped some photos of my lunch ahead of time this morning because I wasn't sure exactly where I'd be when I ate it. I brought a garden salad with me to school, along with some trail mix and fig balsamic vinaigrette to top it all off. It wasn't the most filling lunch I've brought with me to school, but it did the trick.
I ate my second half of lunch around 3:00pm when I got home from school. I quickly cooked up a buffalo chicken burger in the oven and ate it with light mayonnaise and lettuce on a Dempster's Flat Bun.
It was the perfect food to eat while I squeezed in some reading before work.
Dinner
So here's where I get a little premature! I blended up a green monster smoothie ahead of time to drink during work--I work right through dinner--but I'm blogging about it now! My smoothie was made using several handfuls of frozen spinach, a frozen banana, half a scoop of Bodylogix chocolate protein powder, and about 3/4 cup of almond milk.
As I was taking the above photo, I noticed the smoothie blended perfectly with our new wall colour. How appetizing is that?
Workout
Sorry, none for today! I'm just too dang busy. Although I do feel like I'm getting a workout doing all of this running around!
Have a lovely evening!

My oldest son is on the spectrum. I was just downloading some apps for him the other night. He is having a hard time expressing his emotions so we are hoping some of the ones I've downloaded will help him show us how he feels.
Sometimes it helps me to remember that we need workouts when we're lazy. When we're doing lots of stuff, we don't have to add stress to the mix. LOL! Save the energy for a kick ass workout tomorrow or the next day, I say! :D
I made a smoothie for dins today but it was NOT what I wanted. I guess I've lost the art of making a green monster that's irresistable, but I moved on to what I really wanted: nut butter, cocoa, flax, and coconut, in a ball. Intuitive eating, anyone? If eating nut butter out of the tub is wrong, I don't wanna be right!!!
