Painting IS a Workout

Who ever says painting an apartment isn't hard work is bat-poop crazy! I didn't make it to the gym today because Casey and I spent over five hours painting our apartment. That's right...a FIVE HOUR marathon of painting our living room, dining room and front hallway. My arms are exhausted, my abs are killing me, and I'm pretty sure I drank about five gallons of water today to make up for all the sweat that was pouring down my forehead all day. Phew!

Our apartment is kind of in shambles right now due to all the painting. Take a look at our table!

Zekey has been confused all day and wondering where the heck he is supposed to lay down with all of the random sheets everywhere.

I spent my morning trucking through my Home Study portion of my CanTRA Instructor certification. Since it's been so long since I last did any form of school work, I needed a little something to keep me going. Maxwell House Cafe French Vanilla did the trick!

It also helped keep me awake and kept my mind on horsey stuff!

I got fed up with homework just before noon, so Casey and I had a quick snack before getting started on the bulk of the painting. We enjoyed some Smoked Fish Spread that Casey's parents brought home with them from Manitoulin Island with some Ritz crackers.

And then the painting marathon began!

After our painting was done, we headed out for a long walk with Zeke. Of course, we had to stop along the way for slushies to rehydrate after such a grueling marathon! I had a Froster that was half orange and half banana, while Casey opted for an all-Coke Froster.

Five hours of painting and one very long walk with Zeke later, it was time for dinner! We hadn't really had much to eat all day, so we were ready for something filling. We grilled up some honey garlic sausages and made some homemade fries using a sweet potato and a regular potato. Unfortunately, there were no surfaces in the apartment worthy of being used for a picture! Everything was covered in painting supplies!

I guess my hand had to suffice!

Well, I'm absolutely exhausted and will likely be in bed asleep within the next five minutes. I hope you all have a great night!

I have to agree, any kind of apartment assembly or decoration is a workout! Dying over here too!
