All You Can Eat

Casey and I made some spontaneous plans tonight to meet up with a dear friend of ours for a last minute All You Can Eat Sushi dinner date. We were all hungry, so no one could resist the delicious offer!

I started off my meal with two small garden salads...yes, two!

What's the best part of going to All You Can Eat Sushi with friends? You get to order things you wouldn't typically order, like grilled eggplant! This dish wasn't bad, but it was overloaded with way too much soy sauce. The eggplant itself wasn't bad, but it was far too salty. I ended up having two pieces before calling it quits.

I also tried a pan-fried scallop for the first time. It wasn't too bad, but it had a lot of sauce on top.

I did, however, enjoy the bowl of edamame I happily munched on throughout the meal! And my numerous cups of green tea were delicious as usual.

I had my fair share of sashimi, including salmon, red snapper and crab (unphotographed).

I ate two pieces of a rainbow roll, which consisted of a California roll topped with salmon and what i think is red snapper.

I also had half of a salmon avocado roll before I became too full to continue.

That is, of course, until dessert! I bought into peer pressure and ordered two desserts like everyone else--two scoops of green tea ice cream and fried banana with vanilla ice cream.

Can you tell we love our desserts?

Both desserts were incredibly delicious, but I think I'll stick with just one next time.

I did manage to roll myself to the gym shortly after dinner to get in a solid workout for today. I did mostly legs, including squat variations, lunges, calf raises, etc. I also did an intense 20-minute hill run on the treadmill by alternating between jogging and sprinting over a series of different size hills. It was a great workout and I know I'll feel it tomorrow!

Time for me to get to bed! Have a wonderful evening and I'll see you back here for breakfast!
