A Clean Slate

Good morning!

Today is a clean slate. I'm choosing to forget all about my terrible week and focus on the wonderful few days I have ahead. Zeke is definitely helping me mentally recover!

With all of the stress that surrounded my life over the past few days, my healthy eating habits went out the window. My emotions have always influenced my eating habits; however, I've learned to channel my emotions in other ways aside from eating. That being said, there are some times I just can't practice what I preach.

I'm glad to be relatively stress-free now and ready to get back into healthy habits. I made myself a piece of french toast for breakfast using one piece of whole wheat bread, about three egg whites, and a splash of lactose-free skim milk.

I also ate half a cup of mandarin oranges on the side. I love mandarin oranges because they are guaranteed to satisfy! They never taste bad, you don't have to worry about getting a bad orange slice, and they're super juicy as well.

I have a very fun and exciting day ahead of me! I'm heading out to the barn right now to go on a hack with Ginny (our first hack in months!), then Casey and I are heading out to Pawlooza to mingle with fellow dog-owners and see if we can pick up some free stuff for Zekey. We got some great free stuff last year, so we're expecting this year to be just as good, if not better!

I have to get ready to go out on the hack. Have a fun Saturday and I'll see you in a little bit!

Questions:
What are you doing this weekend?
Are you an emotional eater?
How do you manage stress/boredom/sadness and eating?

what a great place to start, you are smart by reminding yourself there is always time to start over.
