It was a pretty gloomy and stormy day today. My first supply shift went really well and I look forward to supplying for the rest of the week. I forgot how accepting children are of new people. Looks like I didn't need to feel nervous at all. They all made me feel very welcome!
On my drive home from work, a big storm was getting closer and closer. It hit about halfway home and it was a big one!
Street lights were out for blocks, various emergency response vehicles kept speeding by, and I was happy just to get home in one piece. Phew!
To be a bit ironic, I made myself a rather stormy-looking smoothie for lunch! I only ate an apple while I was at work because I was unsure if I got to eat a lunch or not (turns out I was supposed to bring a lunch to eat with the kids), so I was starving by the time I got home.
I spended together half a frozen banana, a handful of frozen baby spinach, half a cup of frozen blueberries, a cup of unsweetened almond milk, half a scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder, and a handful of icecubes to finish it off. It was delicious, but the mixture of blue blueberries and green spinach turned my smoothie into a stormy swamp-water colour!
That's all I've got for you right now! Time to relax and enjoy the rain.
