I'm still not feeling quite back to my normal self just yet; however, my bloating has gone down significantly. My appetite, on the other hand, is still a little spacey.
I went to the gym after my morning blog post to get in some strength training. My schedule is a little out of whack this week due to our full-day hiking trip on Friday and a horse-related event all day Saturday. I decided to rework things a bit and fit in 20-minutes of cardio on the elliptical before doing a series of chest and back strength exercises.
Tomorrow I will be doing my 5k run along with abs, then I will be hiking all day Friday, taking Saturday as my rest day, and finally finishing up with cardio and legs on Sunday. Phew!
After a good workout, I really deserved a protein shake. I blended together half a frozen banana, a handful of frozen baby spinach leaves, a quarter cup of frozen blueberries, one scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder, a cup of unsweetened almond milk, and two Beano tablets (wahoo!).
I think this is the best protein shake I've made so far! It was creamy and delicious without any flavours overpowering the others. Success!
I also had a few handfuls of Weetabix Grain Shop cereal along with my protein shake.
I ran some errands and did some work around the house before enjoying more of a snack than a real lunch. I had my usual apple slices with light mozzarella cheese.
I also drank plenty of water in order to kick this bloat. So far it seems to be working!
That's about it so far! I know it isn't a lot, but my appetite is really shot at the moment. I might try a handful of trail mix before heading out to the barn. I'm going to finally ride Ginny now that the humidity has broken before heading out to my show jumping development lesson. It's going to be a busy evening! I'll make sure to bring some snacks along incase my hunger returns before I get home late tonight.
