Cirque du Soleil's Odysseo

A group of instructors and exercise riders from the barn were given free tickets to see Cirque du Soleil's Cavalia Odysseo last night. I was more than happy to accept and we just happened to have an extra ticket for Casey to tag along.

We were running a little late, but fortunately made it to Toronto with just enough time to pick up our tickets and find our seats.

We didn't have time to stop for dinner on our way to the show, so we quickly grabbed some snacks to satisfy our grumbling tummies. I had the majority of a soft pretzel, my first time ever eating one. it was pretty good, but very dense, salty and dry.

Casey had a bag of popcorn, which I also helped myself to several handfuls of.

The show was put on entirely inside a tent--I believe one of the biggest in the world. It was easy to forget you were actually sitting in the middle of a parking lot under the big top.

The show was incredible! The horses were beautiful, the riders were very talented, and the scenery was stunning. I was in awe throughout the entire show...and slightly jealous that I couldn't do the majority of those tricks on horseback!

After the show, we had a very long drive home late at night. We stopped at a rest station for a second round of dinner. I ended up having a grilled chicken burger with an iced cappuccino to keep me awake enough to finish the drive home.

All in all, I had a fantastic time and loved every minute of the show!

Fortunately, I was able to sleep in this morning. I took my time getting out of bed before making myself a bowl of large flake oats with a generous tablespoon of peanut butter mixed in.

I have some chores to do this morning before heading out to the barn to ride Ginny. Who knows, maybe we'll take up vaulting or become Parelli experts overnight!
