It was a bit stormy out today to say the least! In the middle of our outdoor play time in program, a wall of black clouds started rolling in. We headed inside as quickly as possible, then the skies opened up and it poured monsoon-style on and off for a good hour or so. Crazy!
There is the pool we were laid out by earlier today! I'm loving our recently filled pool in our apartment complex. It really makes you feel like you're at a resort.
I didn't feel like making a fancy dinner tonight (surprise surprise!), so I made myself a homemade mini pizza using naan bread, light mozzarella cheese and loads of hot peppers.
It really hit the spot! I looove spicy foods, particularly hot banana peppers.
After dinner, I made myself a tasty dessert. I ran out of Nesquik Plus chocolate syrup a few days ago, but I did have some dark chocolate chips laying around. I heated up two tablespoons of dark chocolate chips to create my own chocolate drizzle for some frozen mixed berries. It started out great, but after a few seconds the chocolate hardened and I ended up eating it in chunks. Chocolate drizzle fail! Looks like I should go pick up some Nesquik Plus the next time I want a chocolate drizzle on my frozen berries.
It's been raining all evening, but we hope to get Zeke out for a nice long 30-minute walk before bed.
Rain, rain go away
come again another day!
