TB or Not TB

Hello, folks!

First and foremost, have you entered Bee Goes Banana's very first giveaway yet? You have until Friday to enter. GO NOW!

I've had a bit of a busy morning, which is what kept me from blogging this morning. I started off my day by taking Zeke for a quick 20-minute walk, then made myself an easy breakfast before work. I cut a thin slice of sourdough bread and topped it with organic peanut butter and a bit of creamy honey. I also threw in a bowl of fresh raspberries on the side.

After work, I headed straight to the health clinic to get the first step of my two-step tuberculosis test done for my school placement. I had to get a small needle just under the skin on the inside of my forearm, then I go back within 48 to 72 hours to get it examined. One to two weeks later, I go back to do it all over again in my other arm to finalize the results. It was easier than I thought it would be, but I still don't like needles!

After my TB test, I headed over to squeeze in a 30-minute cardio interval circuit that was spread out between the elliptical, treadmill and recumbant bicycle. I was getting a bit hungry by that point, so I grabbed a handful of almonds from a baggie I keep in my purse to eat before my workout.

I finally arrived home around 11:30am. Zekey was a very sleepy puppy, but was happy to have me home again.

I was super hungry even though it was still a bit early, so I made myself a small lunch. I wanted to try a new kind of chicken burger that I picked up on my last grocery shopping trip, so I grilled one on my little George Foreman grill along with some steamed asparagus.

I added a little squirt of Frank's Red Hot Sauce on top for a bit of flavour.

Everything was delicious and the meal size was perfect to satisfy me without filling me up. Nailed it!

Now it's time to fit in some cleaning before heading off to work.
