So Many Things To Share

Hello everyone!

My sincerest apologies for going M.I.A. on you all this weekend. I had some computer problems Friday afternoon, so fortunately I was able to announce the winner of the Bengay Zero Degrees contest before my computer crashed! (Congratulations again to Mandy Blank! Don't forget to email me with your mailing address.) And if you're a long-time Bee Goes Bananas reader, my phone will no longer let me make mobile posts to Blogger. I would have blogged from my phone all weekend if I could...that's a fact!

I didn't have the chance to tell you that I was going camping Saturday night after a six-hour work shift for one of my best friend's birthday. We had tons of fun playing volleyball on the beach, swimming, and relaxing around the campfire. I took pictures with my friend's camera, so I will share tons of pictures with you as soon as I get them from her!

I had to leave the campsite very early this morning to make it back to the city for my morning pilates class. I woke up with the sun and was on the road by 8am. I grabbed a small whole wheat banana muffin made with dark chocolate chips that I made for the camping trip to eat for breakfast. I also stopped at Tim Horton's to grab a medium iced coffee made with milk for the hour-long drive home.

For one night of camping, it sure felt like I brought a lot of stuff! My car was a mess by the time I got home.

When I arrived back to the apartment, I had just enough time to quickly unpack and get changed for pilates. It was another jumpboard/springwall class and it was super intense! I actually liked forcing myself to get up early this morning to make it to pilates despite a late night last night. It woke me up and refreshed me for the day ahead.

I was pretty hungry when I got home from pilates. I made myself breakfast for lunch with two over easy eggs, two slices of flaxseed toast with butter, and three slices of low sodium turkey bacon.

Everything was incredible! I was so hungry and every single thing seemed to really hit the spot.

I showered (which felt AMAZING!) and relaxed with Casey for a few hours in the early afternoon. Around 3pm, we headed out to get groceries. I brought half of a banana cream cheese wrap with me to eat on the road.

We made a stop at Remark Fresh Market and Real Canadian Superstore to pick up all of our kitchen essentials...

...including an incredible find! This PACKiT Freeze Go lunch bag is foldable and has built-in ice packs! You just pop the entire thing in the freezer and pull it out when you want to keep food cold on the go.

It unfolds to the size of a regular lunch bag lined with freezer bags down the front and back, and on the bottom. Ingenius!!

Finally, Casey and I each ate a Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle Bar while we got caught up on eachother's busy weekend adventures and conjure up what to make for dinner tonight.

That's all for now! Thanks for being so patient while I worked out those glitches. I can't wait to let you know what we end up making for dinner tonight!

Question: When was the last time you went camping? Do you camp often? Would you prefer to travel via camping or hotels?
