After shopping, we made a huge dinner to satisfy our big appetites. We cooked up some chicken hotdogs on the George Foreman Grill and had a garden salad on the side.
I topped my chicken hotdog with ketchup, mustard and relish. As per usual, I ate my hotdog with only half of the whole wheat bun--a much better bun-to-dog ratio!
I also made up a big garden salad using a mixed greens lettuce mix with loads of carrots and cabbage, and topped it all off with some sprouts and Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Fig Balsamic dressing.
As soon as I finished dinner, my body was craving a good workout. I headed off to the gym to fit in a good hour-long sweat session. I completed a 30-minute interval workout on the elliptical by alternating between high speed/low intensity and low speed/high intensity every 3 or 4 minutes. After that, I finished off my workout with a 30-minute upper body strength mash-up. Overall, it was an excellent workout and I can tell I will be sore tomorrow!
After my workout, Casey and I headed out to Kiwi Kraze to kick off the long weekend with a cool treat. I gave myself some non-dairy mixed berry sorbet with a little squirt of vanilla frozen yogurt on the bottom. I topped my yogurt off with raspberries, blueberries, four Canadian-coloured jellybeans, a couple mini rolos, and one chocolate-covered almond.
It was such a delicious treat and a great way to celebrate the long weekend!
