This morning is one of those mornings where I wish I could stay on the couch with Zeke all day. Busy weekends that are lacking in good night sleeps can be real energy drainers.
I was able to wake up Zeke long enough to take him for a nice fast-paced 30-minute walk. It was nice to enjoy the cool morning air because it's supposed to get scorching hot this week!
When I got home, I grabbed a bowl of fresh raspberries to munch on while I got ready. I love fresh berries! There's nothing that screams summer like a bowl of raspberries. Deeelish!
In addition to the raspberries, I made myself a bowl of protein-packed eggy oatmeal to bring with me to work. I plan on eating this oatmeal between the morning program and my retail shift. Yes, it's another crazy long work day. Fortunately, this is my only one this week!
I made my oatmeal with half a cup of large flake oats, half a cup of egg whites, a splash of water, some cinnamon, and a packet of Stevia. I let it sit over night, then microwaved it this morning on high for 2 minutes. I'll probably end up eating it cold while at work, but it doesn't take away from the taste. This oatmeal is surprisingly tasty when cold!
I also plan on grabbing one of these bad boys on the way to work so that I can sip on it during my retail shift...
One medium sugar-free vanilla iced coffee made with milk, as usual.
