I Love My Puppy

Casey and I have owned Zeke for just over one year now and I still can't get over how much love I have for this adorable little puppy. He's so flipping cute! He makes me laugh every single day, cheers me up when I'm feeling down, and gives me unconditional love no matter what. My heart bursts with happiness every time I see him!

As a side note, I stumbled upon this picture from a friend on Facebook and I just had to share it with you all. It's so easy to get caught up in numbers and achieving a "goal weight". What we should really be focussing on is living as healthily as possible no matter what the number on the scale. The problem with goal weights is that they are always changing. Some people may reach their goal weight and learn that they want to continue to lose weight beyond the point of "healthy", and sometimes you may ready a healthy, happy weight that is slightly above your percieved goal weight. It may be difficult, but when you lose the numbers and focus on eating healthy, being active, and finding true happiness, you can throw the old goal weight theory out the window!

Alright, enough of the deep thinking so early in the morning! I woke up earlier than usual this morning to give myself more time to complete my morning routine without rushing or stressing.

I prepped a bowl of protein packed oatmeal last night by letting one and a half packets of maple and brown sugar oatmeal (ran out of plain oats) soak in half a cup of egg whites with a splash of water. This morning, I added half a tablespoon of milled flaxseed before microwaving it for two minutes. Finally, I sprinkled some chia seeds on top and I was ready to eat!

I also drank a glass of water with breakfast, something I've been meaning to do for a long time. Often I will forget to drink water during the day, then try to chug eight glasses of water in the evening. I'm trying to space out my water intake so I'm hydrated all day long and can fit in eight glasses easier.

After the morning program, I was able to come home and relax. I have the entire day to myself, so I plan on making the most of it! As soon as I got home, I went straight to painting my toenails. I've been in need of a good pedicure in a long time and I finally have the time to do it!

I also sipped on a medium sugar-free vanilla iced coffee made with milk that I picked up on my way home from work while letting my nails dry and watching Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. I'm such a paranormal geek!

I plan on watching a lot of TV today, plus getting some paperwork for school done and out of the way before heading back to the after school program. I also have my show jumping lesson tonight, which I always look forward to!

I'll see you back here for lunch!
