Hello everyone! My apologies for the lack of posting during the day today. I had a bit of a stomach ache after lunch, so I napped before work. Fortunately, I felt better after spending some time with the kids and was able to still meet up with a friend for dinner.
Backtracking a bit, I had a bit plate of veggies and dip for lunch. I had broccoli, cauliflower, celery and carrots with some southwest ranch dip.
I also had some egg salad on a slice of ancient grains bread. I made my egg salad with one whole egg and one egg white, plus a hint of light mayonnaise.
It tasted delicious, but I started feeling weird shortly after. I'm not sure what exactly made me feel nauseous, but I don't know if I'll be eating egg salad for a little while.
All of the kids went home early today, but I stayed for an extra hour afterwards in order to clean out our big craft supplied locker. I really worked up a sweat and was super hungry by the time I was done.
I met up with one of my dear friends at Crabby Joe's restaurant. I started off with a tall glass of ice water and a cup of orange pekoe tea with one milk and one sugar.
I ended up caving and ordered one of my new favourites, a pulled pork sandwich with crispy fried onions on top.
I ordered a side garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette instead of fries. At least I got some veggies in during this meal!
The ratio of pork to bun was way off, so I ended up eating the pulled pork without the top half of the bun. It turned out to be still plenty of bun, but much better than if I had eaten both the top and bottom halves together.
Aside from that, everything was delicious! I gobbled it all up while catching up on what we've been doing in the past month or so.
I had a great night, but now I'm just ready to sleep. I'm exhausted and my stomach still feels a bit tight. It's a strange feeling, but I think rest will be the only cure.
