So you're probably wondering, "Where on earth did Bee go to today? She did vanish into thin air?". Well, my answer is...no I didn't vanish into thin air. I was called in early for my shift today because the person working the shift before me failed to show up. Uh oh!
I ended up going to work at 2pm instead of 4:30pm for which I was originally scheduled. Therefore, I missed blogging about lunch and I ate dinner at work instead of at home beforehand.
First, Casey and I went out for iced coffees in the morning before playing with Zeke. I had my usual medium sugar-free vanilla iced coffee made with milk.
Then, I got called into work before having lunch. I made myself a green monster smoothie to drink on the way to work as my lunch.
I blended up half a frozen banana, half a scoop of Bodylogix vanilla protein powder, a handful of frozen baby spinach, a spoonful of peanut butter, half a cup of unsweetened almond milk, half a cup of water, and a handful of ice cubes.
It hit the spot, but didn't keep me full for very long. I ended up having a Larabar halfway through my shift before taking my break for dinner. I brought with me a salad topped with mixed beans and salsa.
The salad was good, but not quite big enough to fill me up. I also had a small handful of almonds on my break.
After I got home from work, I did a lot of general snacking. I attribute this to a pure lack of substance and filling foods throughout my day. I guess I have no one to blame but myself, so tomorrow I need to put a bit more effort into creating substantive meals that will keep me full for longer so I don't snack my way through the day.
