Good morning, folks!
I hope you're all having a lovely morning. Mine has been bittersweet so far. This morning was my last morning of the before school program because summer starts tomorrow. Because I will be going back to school next year, I won't be able to work the before/after school program any more. I had to say my last good-bye's to the morning-only kids and spend as much time having fun with them as possible.
Backing up a little bit, I made myself some toast and Greek yogurt for breakfast this morning.
I used ancient grains bread to make my toast and topped it with a bit of peanut butter and honey.
My Greek yogurt was just a simple non-fat honey variety, but it gave my breakfast the added protein that it needed.
I stopped by McDonald's on my way to work this morning to pick up a medium sugar-free vanilla iced coffee made with milk. I put it in my Starbucks tumbler to keep it cold.
When I arrived home from the morning program, I was greeted by this gorgeous face. He's such a cutie-pie!
Shortly after I arrived home from program, I made myself a mid-morning snack to tide me over until lunch.
I sliced up a small gala apple and paired it with four slices of light mozzarella cheese. I'm seriously obsessed with this combination and will probably be eating it every day as a snack for the next few weeks. Just to warn you!
That's all I have for you this morning! I'll be back around lunch and I plan on getting out for a good workout or a 5k run today. I've been pretty lazy lately, so I need to kick my butt into gear.
