Sorry for the delay in posting! My computer and camera's SD card are in a bit of an arguement at the moment and I'm having difficulties posting photos.
For breakfast, I made myself a bowl of 7-grain hot cereal using a hot cereal mix I picked up at The Bulk Barn. I combined about 1/3 cup of the hot cereal mix with 1/2 cup of egg whites and a splash of water before microwaving it for 5 minutes.
I added a squirt of agave nectar once the hot cereal was finished as well. It was delicious! I loved the eggy texture and added protein of the egg whites.
This little bowl of cereal kept me full all morning!
I picked up a tall extra foamy skinny vanilla latte on my way out to the barn this morning. I'm glad I bought it because I was on my feet all morning! I rode from about 8:30am until 9:15am, then did some Parelli work until 9:45am. Afterwards, I helped our in two other lessons as both a leader and a sidewalker. Before I knew it, my morning was gone and I had to race home to take Zeke out for a walk.
We went out for a nice hour-long hike through the trails behind our apartment comples. It was such a beautiful and sunny day for a walk! When I got home, I was starving and ready for lunch. I made myself a two-part lunch, but unfortunately the photos from part 2 won't upload to my computer.
First, I made a crab salad sandwich using three pieces of imitation crab meat, a teaspoon of mayonnaise, and two slices of dark rye bread.
For my second part of lunch--which I enjoyed a few hours after the sandwich--I made up another swamp water smoothie. I blended together one frozen banana, half a scoop of chocolate protein powder, 1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 2/3 cup of pure carrot juice, a handful of frozen baby spinach, and a few ice cubes. The smoothie was delicious, but I really missed having peanut butter in the mix.
I have to run again to pick Casey up from work, then pick up a few more groceries that I couldn't find at Remark Fresh Market yesterday.
I hope you all get out and enjoy the sunshine! See you in a few.
