On the Sweet Side

My sweet tooth was raging when I made it home from work today. Casey and I chose to make breakfast for dinner, instead of dinner for dinner! French toasted loaded with delicious berries.

I tried to make my French toast as healthy as possible by using two slices of whole wheat toast, about four to six egg whites for lots of protein, and no milk.

Of course, I loaded up my French toast with about a cup of thawed mixed berries, including blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

Talk about a sweet and tasty breakfast for dinner!

After dinner, I enjoyed a cup of vanilla rooibos tea with a few Cranberry Pumpkinseed Crispy Pitas from the samples I tried out yesterday.

What a sweet night! Overall, this wasn't the healthiest of days. I really need to add more protein to my diet instead of so many carbohydrates. Again, I'm not saying carbs are bad! I just feel that for me personally, a diet consisting of about 80% carbs is lacking some nutrients, including those found in veggies and protein.

Question: Do you have any creative ideas for adding protein into your diet? What are your favourite natural protein sources?
