Good morning! I spent my morning running around after crazy hyper children. I had a feeling they would be energetic today, so I grabbed a muffin to eat before my shift to keep my energy up. The muffin was one of my mom's homemade coconut raisin bran muffins that I snagged from home last weekend.
I still have a few left in the freezer so I can enjoy them for weeks to come. Yummy!
After work, I needed some relaxation time to myself. What better way to relax than to spend it in a relatively empty grocery store! What, don't you use grocery stores to relax? Okay, so that might just be me. I headed over to Remark Fresh Market where I grabbed one of their free coffees and did a bit of shopping.
I picked up a few odds and ends to get us through tonight and the weekend. I bought coleslaw mix, brussel sprouts, green beans, Remark Store-Made Weight Watcher Salad, spanikopita, a cheese sampler, dark rye bread, spinach angel hair pasta, butternut squash ravioli, and a few assorted meats that you will see later.
When I got home from the store, I went straight to our rental office and bought myself a 3-month membership to our apartment complex's gym. It's a lovely little gym with all the equipment you could need, including a pool and hot tub. It's about a two minute walk from my building and it's rates are incredibly reasonable. I can't wait to try it out! My membership will be activated tomorrow around noon.
I skipped on home to make myself a real breakfast. By the time I got home, it was close to 11am and I was famished. I made myself two over easy eggs and two slices of dark rye toast with butter.
I love rye bread with over easy eggs. It's the best combination!
That's about all I have for you right now. I have a lot of little odds and ends to tie up today before the weekend. Other than that, I just have to go back for the after school program and then I'm dunzo for the weekend! Yay!
