Warning: Unhealthy Food Ahead

I woke up this morning feeling "blah". My throat started to feel scratchy last night and it's developed into a full-blown cold. I mean...come on! I was sick less than a month ago and now I'm sick again? Sheesh!

I wasn't feeling like anything special for breakfast, I mainly just wanted toast. Unfortunately, we ran out of bread yesterday and we still need to get groceries today. We did, however, have bagels in the cupboard. I made my toast using a blueberry bagel instead!

I topped one half of my bagel with light cream cheese and Smucker's Simple Blends wildberry jam. I really like this jam because it uses the most basic of ingredients, such as:
  • Fruit (Wild Blueberries, Boysenberries, Raspberries, Cranberries)
  • Organic Evaporated Cane Juice
  • Concentrated White Grape Juice
  • Concentrated Lemon Juice
  • Pectin
Done and done. That's it! No crazy preservatives and unpronouncable ingredients.

Moving along... On the other half of my bagel, I spread on some peanut butter and honey.

I know these are random combinations, but I was really craving toast! I didn't care that my bagel was blueberry flavoured.

I also made myself a cup of tea to soothe my burning throat.

Plus, tea feels great to drink on such a gloomy day!

I think I'm going to curl up with The Death Cure, the third book of The Maze Runner series, which I picked up yesterday before work. I'm so excited find out what happens in the end! If you haven't read The Maze Runner yet, you really need to get on it. It's an intense rollercoaster ride that kept me reading well past my bedtime.

Enjoy your Sunday! See you for lunch.
