I survived! I only took one ibuprofen this morning and I've survived through the day without taking any additional painkillers. Yay for recovery! It's been a long road, but I'll get there.
Speaking of long roads... I live about 2 minutes away from the school where I do the After School Program. Unfortunately, there is a set of train tracks that runs right through my route. A long, slow freight train was moving through downtown tonight as I was trying to get home from work, ultimately leaving me stuck in traffic for a good 15 minutes at a complete standstill. Look at that crazy traffic jam!
I was hungry by the time I got home! I had a tiny bowl of Rice Krispies at program, but I was still hungry. We wanted to use up the organic pitas because they don't last very long (as they should)! I made up a Greek pita using half a whole wheat pita shell, lettuce, red onion, a few chopped up meatballs, mozzarella cheese, and Greek vinaigrette.
It was pretty tasty, but a little too much for my poor mangled mouth. I ate about half of it before handing it over to Casey to finish. I just couldn't keep opening my mouth that wide and it was difficult chewing through the meatballs. Oh well!
We also shared a gigantic plate of edamame with sea salt. We both agreed that for whatever reason, this was the best edamame we had ever tasted! It was pretty easy on the mouth too.
I don't work tomorrow, so I have the rest of the night to do whatever I please. I plan on taking a hot bubble bath and catching up on my home-sense...
...doing some Bodyrocking and yoga, then taking my little Zekey out for a relaxing walk.
I love being able to stay up late knowing I can sleep in the next morning! It'll be nice to relax a little bit tomorrow, giving my mouth, jaw and head a rest.
Stay tuned for some Bodyrocking later tonight! I can't wait to kill myself again tonight, like I did last night. My calves are so sore!
Question: Do you enjoy the "good pain" you experience after a hard workout? What have you done lately to make your muscles really ache?
