The Halfway Point

Guess what I forgot to do today? I completely forgot Mouthwatering Mondays! To be honest, it doesn't really feel like a Monday. I think for time's sake, I will just skip this week's post and continue next Monday with some extra special mouthwatering recipes. Deal?

Casey and I were busy taking down Christmas decorations and didn't leave much time for dinner. We threw in some flaxseed breaded chicken strips and boiled up some fresh green beans to eat for a quick and delicious dinner. I had a tablespoon of cajun dipping sauce with my chicken.

We also watched some Ghost Hunters International from Casey's laptop while we ate our dinner.

Zekey didn't get much of a walk tonight due to the rain. But we did have the chance to test out his new raincoat...one that actually fits him! He looks miserable, but I swear he doesn't really mind it!

It's been a busy start to the week, but I wanted to finish today off strong. Today is the halfway mark through the Bodyrock 30-Day Challenge. It's my first year working with Bodyrock, so what better way to get into the groove than jumping straight into a challenge! Today's workout is a second fit test to compare with Day 1 results. I have included the scores of Day 1, but crossed them out to record my new results. That way you can compare my fitness level from Day 1 to Day 11.

Bodyrock: 30-Day Challenge
Day 11 -
Fit Test
7 minutes (7 rounds, 50 seconds on, 10 seconds off)
  • Squat Jump: 35 / 44
  • Push Ups: 5 / 13
  • Burpees: 18 / 24
  • High Knees: 128 / 166
  • Switch Lunges: 22 / 31
  • Tuck Jumps: 16 / 23
  • Straight Abs: 16 / 21

I'm actually really proud of my scores! Who knew that in just two short weeks your fitness level could change so much? I think this prooves that although Bodyrock sessions are very short, they can be extremely effective. I worked my booty off for those two weeks and the hard work is paying off. I can't wait to see my scores on Day 30!

I finished up the night with a half an hour of yoga using my Om Yoga Today workbook. It was a nice, relaxing way to end the evening and to also stretch my body from all the hard Bodyrocking I've been doing lately.

Question: Have you been participating in the Bodyrock 30-Day Challenge? If so, what are your fit test scores?
