Getting Ready

Ahhhh! Finally finished cleaning the apartment and catching up on all the chores I won't be able to do while I'm recoverying from losing my wisdom teeth. The apartment is spotless and I am happy to relax for a little while before work.

For some reason, I was so hungry after I finished cleaning. I swear, house cleaning should be an olympic sport...well, at least a workout on it's own! I used up some leftover freezer food that was threatening to get freezerburn. I made myself four flaxseed breaded chicken strips and a small handful of potato wedges.




I plan on munching on some veggies throughout the afternoon, so don't worry! I'm glad to be eating "treat" foods on my last day of solid foods since I will be eating nothing but jello and smoothies for the next little while.

Since I had a bit of extra time this morning, I decided to prepare for the weekend ahead. I picked up two Sunripe Fruit Plus Veggies drinks last night, that way I can be on a liquid diet while still getting my daily dose of fruits and vegetables. In addition, I made up three different types of Jell-O, prepared some oatmeal that will be extra soaked, refridgerated some unsweetened applesauce and set aside some Greek yogurt.

Soft foods...check!



I also set up everything to keep me entertained as I spend the weekend in bed. Television, video games, all four seasons of The Newlyweds, and a book on my nightstand. I think I'm prepared enough to spend weeks in bed instead of just two or three days, but it never hurts to be overprepared.

I think I'm about as ready as I'll ever be! Now it's just time to sit back and wait.

Question: What did you eat when you had your wisdom teeth removed? Any tasty soft food recommendations?
