My Bachelorette Party

I think photos can describe my bachelorette party much more than words ever could. Enjoy!

Bride to Bee!
I'd just like to say thank you to all of my wonderful bridesmaids and friends for planning such an extraordinary day! I couldn't have hoped for a better bachelorette party!

Family Trip to the Park

It was such a beautiful day today that as soon as I got home from work, I knew we just had to go to the dog park as one big happy family!
It's been a while since the three of us spent quality time together with wedding plans. Casey and I both have the Canada Day long weekend off, so we plan on relaxing and spending some time together before the wedding.

Family!

Our trip to the park was a lot of fun! We've never been to the park on a weekday night and it was hopping with all sorts of dogs for Zeke to play with!
Playtime!
Look at that long tongue!

Zeke's favourite thing to do is chase other dogs.
After about an hour of playing, Zekey was tuckered out and ready to go home.

Mommy, I'm tired!
I wasn't very hungry when we got back to the apartment, but I was hot and thirsty. I made up a simple banana smoothie using a ripe banana, a cup of skim milk, some ice and a squirt of vanilla syrup for flavour.

Frothy banana smoothie!

Can you tell where the pictures were taken?

The balcony!

It was just too nice out to NOT write this blog post on the balcony this evening. And look, it's our new barbeque Casey spent hours building last week. We haven't used it yet, but we're very excited to!

Tonight the city is holding fireworks at the park just beside our building, so we plan to head down to see them later on with Zeke. If all goes well and Zeke doesn't freak out, I should have some pictures of that to post tomorrow!

As promised, bachelorette party pictures will be posted tonight! I will post them when we get back from the fireworks a little later on. Be sure to check back in later and see them!

Hummus = The Bomb

Lunch today was held in the breakroom at work. The lighting is getting a little better but still not ideal. I threw together an assortment of flatbread crackers with roasted red pepper hummus, Greek yogurt and an apple. Not bad for a quick 5 minute meal!

Beautiful Morning

As you can tell by my previous mobile post, today is turning out to be quite the beautiful one! It's a shame I'll be stuck inside working during the ideal part of the day. Boo to working!

Anyway... I took Zeke out for a nice long walk this morning instead of heading out to the dog park. Why? Well, first because the car was almost out of gas and I don't feel like filling it until after work. And second, with all this wedding planning my exercise routine has gone straight out the window! Isn't that terrible? I'm starting to call walking a form of real exercise! Oh boy. I can't wait to get back into a routine after we're back from our honeymoon.

After I got back from our walk, I made the usual for breakfast. That's right! I'm a total repeat offender. Kashi Go Lean cereal with skim milk, half a sliced banana and melted peanut butter again. It's so good! You have to try it!
Just beautiful, isn't it?

My favourite part...the drizzle!

You caught this repeat offender!
I'm off to work now! Today you can look forward to a post from the breakroom as well as pictures from my bachelorette party! That's right, they're finally up!

Good Morning Sunshine

Take Out

Casey worked from 6am until noon at his regular job, but left early to do a side job from about 2pm until 9pm. This hard working man was hungry when he came to pick me up from work at 9:30pm! He had already placed an order at a local wok restaurant and it was ready to go when I was done work. We stopped at McDonalds on the way home to pick up a "Dollar Drink" to go with our meal.

Casey had ordered szechuan chicken on white rice and I was very happy to help him with the meal! The two of us devoured the large helping of rice and I attacked most of the veggies. It was delicious!
Good takeout!

Veggies galore!
But it's way past our bedtime and I have to be up for an early shift tomorrow! Goodnight all!

Leftover Lunch

I made a lot of checks in my "To Do" list this morning! I was running around like a madwoman, but I'm glad to have them out of the way. Here are some of the things I am now able to cross off the list...

-tanning
-return veil to get steamed
-book photographer in for the rehearsal
-send out casual invites for the rehearsal dinner
-contact string trio
-exchange a few bachelorette gifts for sizing
-use up AERIE gift card
-love Zeke!

Phew! Long day and it's only noon! Naturally, lunch was quick and simple. Leftovers!
Leftover pasta with veggies and chicken!
I microwaved up some leftover pasta with some chicken and voila! Lunch!

Easy.

Don't Fix What's Not Broken

That is, in terms of breakfast! Yesterday's breakfast went over so well I just had to make it again today. It kept me full through my entire five hour shift and then some, it was delicious and nutritious, and it combined all of my favourite things!

Just too good!

So today for breakfast, I made up a bowl of Kashi Go Lean cereal with half a sliced banana and melty peanut butter on top. Perfection!
Why change perfection?

Not The Ideal Day

Despite a short shift at work today (five hours), my day was still packed full of things to accomplish. I finished work around 2pm, then it was straight to the barn to go on a hack with the horse I ride. My work shift was so short that I didn't get a scheduled break and I completely forgot to pack a lunch. Lukily, I had a Larabar left in my purse from a previous day.
Key Lime Pie Larabar
These babies may be small, but they really pack a punch! One bar warded off my hunger until I finally made it home at 5:30pm. I never endorse skipping meals, but today was an exception.

My wonderful fiance had a heaping plate full of salty sweet potato fries waiting for me when I got home. We shared the delicious fries that were sprinkled with extra coarse salt. Delicious!
Sweet potato fries for two!
I allowed myself to have dessert tonight because a) I didn't eat much of a lunch, and b) it was a low calorie and somewhat healthier version of dessert. I decided to try one of the Jell-O Mousse Temptations I bought over the weekend on our grocery shopping trip. I'd never had one before so I gave it a try.
So tempting!
And dessert just wouldn't be complete if it wasn't topped with a melty peanut butter drizzle!
Oh so yummy!
Perfection! Absolute perfection! This was a huge hit and I'm definitely excited to chow down on the remaining five mousse cups over the next week.

Just incase you weren't keeping track...

OUR WEDDING IS ONLY 11 DAYS AWAY!

That's right! I will be a married woman in less than two weeks! Eek!

Resurrecting an Old Love

Despite an unending hatred for water, Zekers managed to run right into a muddy puddle at the dog park this morning. Living in an apartment has a few downsides, one of those being a lack of backyard garden hose. I towelled Zeke off as best I could instead.

With all that said and done, I was really rushed for work this morning. I didn't have time to make an elaborate breakfast, so I decided to resurrect an old favourite. You probably remember this one!

Kashi, my love!

Kashi Go Lean with banana slices, melted peanut butter and chia seeds. Yum! Quick, filling and easy.

All my favourites all wrapped into one!

And just incase you wanted to know, this is how I blog on early mornings. Right in the kitchen!

Blog, blog, cook, blog...

I'm off to work now!

Rushing before work!

Easy Dinner

Mom supplied dinner for tonight! I visited the parents house again to do more wedding odds and ends. I wanted something easy so mom suggested Lean Cuisine! It was tasty, but won't ever become a regular meal. It was a nice treat for a relaxing night at home.

I'm heading back to the apartment tonight because I work tomorrow morning. I miss Casey and Zeke! There has not been enough cuddle time lately...with either of my loves!

Lunch Out of the Breakroom

Ventured over to the grocery store today during my lunchbreak to purchase my lunch. I opted for something tastey but super healthy to make up for my unhealthy bachelorette weekend (no pictures yet)!

I ate a rice paper wrap stuffed with nutritious veggies and shrimp dipped in sweet chili sauce. I also had vitamin water on the side to keep me healthy and strong! It was just what my body needed. I was very impressed at the selection at this particular grocery store. Perhaps this will become a weekly treat!

Pre-Work Pit Stop

I decided to leave a little early for work today to make a quick pit stop.

Tall skinng vanilla latte, extra foam, extra hot. Yes.

I didn't sleep well last night, so this is a much needed pick me up! It should definitely help push me through my shift at work today. See you again after my shift!

Early Riser

Good morning!

After a crisp 40-minute walk with Zekers, I was feeling like a little something to warm me up. That's when I pulled this little number from the back of the cupboard.

Early Rise for me!

Early Rise Cereal. It's very tasty and I love the chewy texture all the different seeds give the cereal. I warmed up a bowl in the microwave and debated on possible toppings. Who am I kidding? I chose peanut butter!

Neat little bowl too!

My addiction.
I also topped it off with a little agave nectar for some sweetness.

Agave to taste.

Have a wonderful morning and I'll see you tonight after work!

Heading Home

I took the evening to visit my parents back at their home while my fiance parties it up at his Bachelor Party tonight. I didn't take any photos of dinner, but I've decided to share a poor quality picture as my dad drives Zeke and I back to our apartment.

Have a wonderful night and get a good sleep (I know I will)! Check back in soon for pictures from my Bachelorette Party.

Recover

Post-bachelorette party lunch...peanut butter banana smoothie. One and a half bananas, a cup of skim milk, a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter and ice. Blend well. Recover.
Blend it up!

Recovery drink.

Stay hydrated my friends!
