I haven't been to the gym in a while and after eating so many sweets this week, I was really down on myself tonight. Our apartment gym closes at 10:30pm, so I was out of luck by the time I actually wanted to drag my booty to the gym to endure a punishing workout.
It was then I remembered a workout system I had heard of earlier, but had kind of tosed by the wayside for the time being. Bodyrock is "a free fitness blog focused on helping people from all walks of life get into shape at home (or wherever you happen to be)". Bodyrock updates its website almost every weekday with new workout routines to try out in the comfort of your own home.
A friend of mine has recently become a host on Bockrock.tv and has inspired me to try out these recipes for myself. As by her recommendation, I tried out the Fierce Friday workout tonight as my very first Bodyrock exercise routine.
This workout appeared short and sweet. Four exercises, roughly 20 repetitions for each exercise, and the entire circuit repeated four times. Not too difficult, right? Wrong! If you actually complete the moves as recommended and focus on controlling your entire body through every move, this circuit is killer! I didn't think I used my abs at all until the workout ended and I cooled down.
All in all, I'm very glad I pushed myself to workout tonight and try my very first Bodyrock routine. I loved it so much, I think I'll be sticking with it!
Stay tuned for more Bodyrock routines to come...
