Dinner wasn't such a flop, though! We tried out a healthy spin on an old favourite, spaghetti and meatballs. Instead of regular spaghetti, we used whole wheat noodles. We also topped out spaghetti with a cream-free sauce that was full of veggies and huge tomato pieces.
Finally, our meatballs were lean turkey meatballs insead of the usual beef. I was quite proud of our healthified meal, especially when it turned out tasting incredible!
On a side note, I want to talk about my lack of gym attendance and personal accountability for a moment.
I didn't make it to the gym this morning as I had hoped. I took Zeke on a longer than usual walk before my dentist appointment, planning on fitting in a workout between the dentist and work. Little did I know my teeth, jaw and head would hurt so bad after having my cavities filled. I decided to pass on the gym for the day and take Zeke on another longer than usual walk tonight (done and done!).
Long story short, the only way I'm going to incorporate visiting the gym into my daily routine is if I get in the habit of going to the gym at the same time every day. The only time that consistently works for me to visit the gym is at 6am on weekday mornings. Evenings are too busy and I often forget to fit in a workout.
Here are the facts...
- I want to go to the gym on a regular basis again.
- I
lovecraveneed routine in my life. - Morning workout sessions make me feel better for the rest of the day.
- Evening workout sessions are easily forgotten.
- In the grand scheme of things, 6:00am is not that early.
- I need to start going to the gym regularly again. Period.
That's all for now! Thanks for listening to my unexpected workout pep talk. I
Good night!
